The
owner of De Porcelijne Lampetkan,
Leon Paul van Geenen was born in Delft and grew up near the present
Porceleyne Fles factory. This Delftware factory is established in 1653.
From the age of twelve Leon Paul began collecting and excavating various
pieces of ceramics.Later
his family purchased one of the original Porceleyne Fles factory buildings
at Oosteinde in Delft. At that time Leon Paul was able to
excavate broken pieces and factory wasters during the restoration of the
building.
After school Leon Paul gained qualifications in catering and worked in
that field for ten years. Then following in his father's footsteps, he
started his own antique shop named De
Porcelijne Lampetkan more
than five years ago.
De Porcelijne Lampetkan
is specialised in old en new Delftware, antique tiles, excavated ceramics,
antique drawings, Chinese ceramics, Royal Delftware from the Porceleyne
Fles factory (1879-1980), Makkum ceramics and books of antique and Delft
Blue.
